Our client, a joint venture between the world's most respected media companies, is seeking multiple Broadcast Engineers to assist in the deployment of an Interactive Television Application. These individuals will be responsible for engineering activities required to deploy the ITV Application including the coordination of configuration, troubleshooting, and testing activities with MSOs and programmers.
RESPONSIBILITIES: * Work directly with engineering and technical staff at partner MSOs and programmers to assess technical configurations and requirements for the deployment of client's products and services.
* Work closely with client product development and system integration teams to identify and define product and test requirements.
* Develop and maintain field deployment plans spanning multiple simultaneous deployments.
* Perform and coordinate testing and configuration activities both on-site and remotely in production environments during deployment and operational readiness phases.
* Troubleshoot technical issues involving client products and services.
* Document issues in bug tracking and incident tracking systems.
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years Broadcast Engineering experience
* 3+ years deployment experience in production environments with an MSO or a leading vendor. (Experience supporting a sales or marketing team highly desirable). * In addition to deployment experience in production environments, the ideal candidate is comfortable working in a lab environment.
* Demonstrable experience with head-end and broadcast technology (MPEG, MUXes, QAMs, encoding, IRDs, video transmission etc).
* Willingness to travel to partner sites frequently as required in support of deployment objectives. * Previous experience with video signal test and analysis tools and equipment (mpeg analyzers, packet analyzers or similar).
* Experience with set-top boxes technology a plus. * Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Visio (or similar).
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

OVERALL SUMMARY

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIREMENTS
