Provider of satellite entertainment programming to U.S households DIRECTV's Castle Rock Broadcast CenterTechnical Services Department is seeking an Satellite Broadcast Technician. This is a challenging position working with some of the latest HD/SD television equipment and technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Installation, diagnosis and maintenance of critical on-air video, audio, RF, baseband, signal processing, transport and transmission equipment. Ensure consistent, high quality analog and digital television signal transports and satellite transmissions. Troubleshoot a variety of television broadcast, transport, and transmission equipment. Install cabling and new equipment. Perform routine maintenance. Assist in project research, design, planning, implementation, procedure documentation and training. 3-5years technical maintenance experience with electronics, communication, television broadcast, high power amplifiers (Klystrons/TWT's), antenna tracking systems, up/downlink signal processors, transport and transmission systems such as analog/digital receivers, digital video compression systems, network adapters, video/audio routers, DA's, patch panels, converters, switchers, multiplexers, modulators, demodulators, television network and control automation. Experience must include a strong background in troubleshooting, analyzing relationships between components within television systems and it transport systems, conducting routine maintenance and utilizing transport and spectrum analyzers, waveform/vector scopes, and other test equipment. Experience installing cabling and new equipment, interpreting wiring diagrams/schematics and working with engineers to test and integrate new systems. Must possess a good background with LAN, WAN, and computer technologies including the ability to learn various computer applications and internal programs critical to television broadcast processing and transport. Associates degree, certificate or equivalent specialized training in electronics and/or related systems is preferred. Must have the ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment with changing priorities. The Castle Rock Broadcast Center is a 24x7 facility and requires the ability to work various shifts, including holidays and overtime. All candidates must be able to lift 30 to 40 pounds.

This position is responsible for managing the flow of all music formats, transmitter power and operation of Music Choice equipment during assigned shift. Duties:? Monitor the flow and distribution of audio music formats and digitally encoded video services. Observe audio/video quality, On Screen graphics and textual information, for 50+ broadcast channels, including the hourly visual inspection of all transmission systems and the notation/resolution of any discrepancies. ? Perform regular scans of Music Choice broadband audio and video services; cellular services and Internet feeds. Responsible for the end-product delivery of Music Choice content in multiple formats and on multiple platforms. ? Perform small maintenance issues. Inform relief shift of any problems. ?
