KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Must be able to troubleshoot and repair electronics at the component level. Read, interpret and update station drawings, flow charts and cable run lists. CAD knowledge preferred. Must have an intimate knowledge of radio frequency, baseband, optical and MPEG transport, various scopes essential to the maintenance and repair of electronic equipment including oscilloscopes, waveform/vector scope, spectrum analyzers and multimeters. Familiarity of TCP/IP/SNMP Network topologies, VLANS and Cisco switches, routers, firewalls and VPN concentrator preferred. Must be able to quickly isolate and troubleshoot engineering and IT issue's in a demanding work environment. Must develop work around to keep systems running and multi-channel network on air.
