Job Title: Large Media Company seeking a Senior Accountant Company: Green Key Resources LLC Location: Melville, NY Description: Large Media Company seeking a Senior Accountant In this position, your responsibilities will include the following: Prepare detailed journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis for specific departments and accrual explanations for the month end close. Liaison with various subsidiary business units to ensure accuracy of all accounting and month end close processes. Coordinate and review monthly/quarterly financial and intercompany schedules. Oversee all sales tax functions including quarterly returns, account reconciliations, monthly prepayments and tax-exempt certificates. Participate in physical inventory counts and assist in various Accounting related projects as assigned. Must be a self-starter with good analytical and organizational skills to prioritize workload, think "outside the box" and formulate sound conclusions. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials and Oracle a plus. Must be flexible to work additional hours during the month end/quarter end close and as needed.
