We're seeking a 2nd Shift Group Leader to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings team in Muscatine, IA where you'll enjoy competitive compensation starting at a minimum of $70K/yr, $5,200/yr shift differential, 10% annual bonus and $13K yearly premium! What We Need: We are looking for a Group Leader to join our 2nd Shift HNI Workplace Furnishings Operations team. What You Will Do:
- Organize team efforts to deliver KPIs
- Lead MDI discussion with team and ensure visual management is relevant
- Work with team on daily staffing requirements and manage changes
- Monitor progress to goals and communicate gaps
- Daily 5S and safety walks
- Partner with MCR for issues/concerns
- Partner with internal customers to achieve daily delivery/quality
- 8D investigations to drive root cause for quality concerns
- Complete other standard work as needed
- Team & relationship building motivate and empower members on the team to achieve daily and breakthrough goals
- Concise communication members in this role must be able to clearly and quickly articulate issues and potential solutions
- Problem solving use lean tools and problem solving methods to build up members to become skilled problem solvers
- Change agility Group Leaders must be catalysts for change; members in this role will be looked upon to consistently and constantly react to changing needs, situations, and priorities
- Results driven successful members in this role display a bias for action and desire to proactively address issues
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Operations, Organizational/Business Management, or a related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of direct labor supervision in manufacturing, distribution, retail, or customer service, with lean manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
