Production Supervisor

Manufacturing Leadership Role, Construction Materials, Columbus, Ohio Area An international leader in the manufacture of residential and commercial building materials has an urgent need for an experienced Manufacturing/Production/Leader at their key located in the Columbus, Ohio area manufacturing facility. Known as the Biggest Small Town in America the Columbus area has a low cost of living and is home Ohio State University, The Buckeyes Columbus has a rich arts scene, and outdoor activities. Outstanding compensation that includes base salary, outstanding bonus structure, industry leading benefits, and relocation assistance if needed Ideal experience will include: Production/Manufacturing leadership in an industrial manufacturing environment. Examples of ideal manufacturing environments would include building materials: shingles, sheet rock, glass, steel, paper, automotive, chemicals and related manufacturing environments. This is not a distribution leadership position. Candidate should have strong people skills with the ability to bring a coaching style of management. An ideal candidate should be personable, a collaborator, a good team builder and the ability to mentor. Should have experience overseeing 25 hourly workers. Additional Ideal experience/leadership traits include: Proactive leadership approach. Proven ability to change the attitudes/behaviors of your employees. Direct experience in safety training/job training personally instructing your employees. Extensive Total Productive Maintenance ( TPM ). Ability to set and manage KPI's. Strong technical skills such as Lean, Continuous Improvement and KPI's. Must be able to interpret/analyze the data and make decisions be strategic/tactical and adjust.
