About the Role

Vista Radio has an opening for a full-time On-Air Host based in Bracebridge / Muskoka, Ontario.

The successful candidate will host either:

• Morning Show: 6:00am – 10:00am (Work schedule 5am to 1pm)
  OR
• Afternoon Show: 2:00pm – 6:00pm (Work schedule 10am to 6pm)

Final shift assignment will be determined based on station needs and candidate fit.

Position Description

• Be a storyteller with creative, compelling content
• Prepare and deliver an engaging daily show for our audience
• Create and execute station promotions
• Maintain station social media pages and websites
• Be a part of the community and make promotional appearances, as required
• Attend regular air checks
• Liaise with clients as necessary
• Assist the sales team and help develop creative promotions
• Voice track shifts as necessary
• Voice commercials for other Vista properties as needed

Position Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter (this is a big-time necessity)
• Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration; ability to take direction and coaching
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Working familiarity with Adobe Audition and ENCO is a strong asset
• Demonstrated ability to use and excel with social media platforms (Facebook, X/Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
• Familiarity with G-Selector is an asset
