As a company, we are committed to providing top brand name products at competitive prices with an experienced, knowledgeable sales and support staff.QualificationsThe Production Associate position is responsible for completing assigned work in the Production shop, which may include hand finishing the stone countertops, inspecting the quality of finished countertops, and safety packaging and preparing finished countertops for delivery and installation.

Essential Functions

Hand fabricate and polish all custom cut edges of stone countertops

Repair any chips, visible seams, and slight imperfections and re-finish edges

Communicate problems or changes with equipment, products or safety with management

Receive finished material, and perform verification that it has been produced as requested.

Inspect all product to ensure that quality standards have been met.

Handle and transport product in a safe and efficient manner to limit any damage

Work with distribution team to ensure that all completed jobs are being packaged and loaded on time

Assist in loading the delivery trucks with the completed countertops

Review and follow all job plans and instructions as listed in SPS

Scan barcode on stone piece before starting and after completion of each job to ensure that the correct pieces are being worked on and moving through the fabrication process.

Maintain and operate all equipment in accordance with operating manuals and procedures

Maintain an efficient, organized and clean work area

Pre-inspect materials before processing and double check material

Pull measurements for accuracy

Adhere to all safety policies and standard operating procedures to ensure the safety of self, team members and company property

Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality

Perform other duties as assigned by management

Work Shifts

Stone production operations perform work in three different shifts;

Monday-Thursday 5am-3:30pm

Monday-Thursday 3pm-1:30am; $2/hour shift differential

Friday-Sunday 5am-5:30pm; $3/hour shift differential

Work Environment

This position will work in an indoor production environment around large machinery, overhead cranes, and power tools. There may be areas with wet floors. The production environment involves a consistently high level of noise.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, push, pull, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Individuals must have the ability to lift a minimum of 75lbs on a regular basis.

Required Education and Experience

High attention to detail

Ability to read and follow job plans and instructions (CADs and blueprints)

Ability to use and read a tape measure to the 16th of an inch with accuracy and precision

Preferred Education and Experience

Handheld polisher and basic hand tools

General carpentry knowledge or experience

Experience working with stone products

Basic computer skills
