About the Job:

Vista Radio has an immediate opening for a full-time Morning Show Announcer , based in Lloydminster, AB , supporting 106.1 The Goat.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
• Live morning show from 6:00am – 10:00am

What you’ll do

• Host an interactive and engaging morning show that connects with listeners
• Be a strong presence in the community and a key part of the local fabric
• Make promotional appearances and represent the station at events as required
• Participate in regular air checks and commit to ongoing professional development
• Contribute to station social media platforms and website.
• Collaborate with sales and programming teams on creative promotions and ideas
• Liaise with clients and act as an ambassador for 106.1 The Goat
• Voice track additional shifts for other dayparts or stations as required
• Record commercial and promotional voice-overs as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

What you Bring

• Minimum two (2) years of radio broadcasting experience
• Working knowledge of Adobe Audition and/or Audacity
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong audio editing skills and basic video editing abilities
• Solid understanding of engaging audiences across multiple platforms (on-air, social, digital)
• Ability to relate to and connect with the local audience
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with openness to direction and coaching
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and driven to grow both personally and professionally
