Sound Mixer

We're looking for an experienced Sound Mixer/Recordist with a strong background in live comedy and/or music to join our team for an upcoming show.

This role is criticalyou'll be responsible for capturing a clean, dynamic mix of the performance while also delivering rich, authentic audience reactions that elevate the final edit.

What You'll Be Doing:

* Mixing and recording live comedy performance with clarity and consistency

* Capturing full, natural audience response (laughter, applause, energy)

* Managing multiple audio sources (talent, room, audience, etc.)

* Delivering well-organized multitrack recordings for post-production

The Room:

This is not a plug-and-play environment. The venue has challenging acoustics with potential street noise and external bleed. We need someone who knows how to:

* Anticipate and mitigate environmental noise

* Mic and mix strategically for isolation and impact

* Make smart, real-time decisions under live conditions

You Should Have:

* Proven experience mixing live comedy specials or live music

* A strong understanding of audience mic'ing techniques

* The ability to balance clean dialogue with big crowd energy

* A detail-oriented mindset and calm under pressure

* Professional gear knowledge (bonus if you can provide your own kit)

Bonus Points:

* Experience delivering audio for streaming or broadcast

* Familiarity with post workflows and deliverables
