Radio Board Operator

Burbank, CA | Part Time

COMPENSATION RANGE: 20.00 - 25.00

Summary

NativeSpanish speaker to operate control board for NFL Spanish Play by Play LiveGames. Must be available for regular season games related to Sunday NightFootball, Monday Night Football, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and during theNFL Postseason. Part Time Position with additional workday hours available toassist in Music Programming aside from NFL responsibilities.

Essential Functions

Operates control board for studios and remote programming
Answers phones for contesting
Regulates program timing, operates syndicated programming, andplays commercials.
Monitors the technical quality and accuracy of incoming andoutgoing on-air programming from master control room.
Protects stations license by censoring live programs anddeleting words/phrases not permitted on air.
Executes playlists for server, tape, or simulcast programming.
Assists with adjusting signal and programming content toensure transmission meets federally mandated broadcast standards
Checks studio equipment for proper functioning and notifiesEngineering of technical malfunctions affecting quality of the broadcast
Screens in-coming phone calls and selectively chooses callersfor On-Air promotional Giveaways
Handles emergency inserts (e.g. news updates, breakingstories, alert system tests, etc.).

Required Education and Experience

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows, Adobe Auditionor similar audio editing software, Wide Orbit or similar automation system

Time management and attention to detail
Ability to work without close supervision
Flexibility in work schedule, including evenings, overnightand weekends
Functions well in a fast-paced environment with tighttimeframes and multiple demands
Works well in a team environment
6 months in a related role and/or technical training
High school graduate or G.E.D.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Reports directly to Brand Manager
