This position is primarily responsible for anchoring the morning and midday newscasts, researching, developing, shooting, writing, editing, producing and narrating reports for a variety of content distribution platforms, including KEZI 9 News, , K

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES:

i Co-anchoring the morning newscasts and anchoring and producing the midday newscast.

i Enterprising, shooting, writing, editing and presenting stories for multiple content distribution platforms, including

KEZI 9 News, , , , KEZI 9 News Mobile, MeTV Western Oregon and other stations in the

broadcast group

i ing live from the field on breaking news stories and from scheduled news events

i Maintaining closemunication with assignment desk and producers

i Establishing and cultivating sources and beats

i Creating and maintaining day files, story files and telephone/address files

i Maintaining a current understanding of all news occurring in our primary coverage area as well as the state, nation

and the world

i Maintaining assigned video equipment and associated ENG gear

i Serving as a public representative of KEZI 9 News at variousmunity functions

i Other duties as assigned by the News Director or General Manager

SKILLS REQUIRED/QUALIFICATIONS:

i Two plus years of experience as a television news reporter/anchor preferred

i Ability to perform effectively under extreme deadline pressure

i Excellent interpersonal skills; a team player

i Ability to work shifts as assigned including weekends, weeknights, overnights and holidays as needed

i College degree in journalism or related discipline required

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

i Dexterity to operate equipment, which may be heavy (approximately up to 55 pounds)

i Seeing and hearing necessary to handle all job functions

i May be required to deliver reports from various places, which may require walking, climbing or other means of

getting to the location with camera equipment without a grip

i Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Oregon driver's license
