Description:
VOICES Boston is seeking a Lighting Designer for our uing production of Matilda Jr.. This role will focus on creating and programming the lighting design for the production in collaboration with the directing team.
The Stage Manager will run lighting cues during performances, so this position is centered specifically on design, cueing, and programming rather than board operation during the run.
Responsibilities
Design and program lighting cues for the production
Collaborate with the director and production team on artistic vision
Attend production meetings before tech week to align on vision
Attend technical rehearsals to finalize cueing
Support basic troubleshooting and adjustments during tech
Tech Week Schedule
Monday, June 1: 4:00-8:00pm
Tuesday, June 2: 4:00-8:00pm
Wednesday, June 3: 4:00-8:00pm
Saturday, June 6: 6:00pm show*
Sunday, June 7: 3:00pm show*
*Attendance at performances is optional unless otherwise discussed.
Qualifications:
Experience with theatrical lighting design and programming
Ability to collaborate within a youth theater environment
Strongmunication andanizational skills
