The Garner Performing Arts Center is seeking motivated technicians equally good with equipment and people for occasional work, primarily nights and weekends with some daytime shifts.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
- Operates audio, lighting, video and streaming equipment, and/or works backstage during events as directed by the Performing Arts Center Supervisor
- Prepare facility for program and participant use
- Sets up and tears down sound, lighting, video/streaming, and rigging equipment as needed to meet the needs of each event
- Interacts directly with clients to ensure all event needs are met
- Enforce the policies and procedures of the facility
- Performs facility maintenance as needed
- Performs other related tasks as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in live event production is required.
- Experience in the operation of analog audio consoles and digital lighting consoles is required.
- Be able to safely lift 50 lbs. and move up to 100 lbs. General stagecraft knowledge is preferred.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This supplemental position may be scheduled for up to 20 hours per week.
