at KWQC-TV6 in Davenport, Iowa, United States Job Description Job Summary/Description: KWQC has an immediate opening for a News Reporter/MMJ. The ideal candidate will produce stories focusing on issues people are facing in the Quad Cities. The candidate will cover breaking news & provide important LIVE updates. You will enterprise stories by developing sources throughout the market. Finding stories is also part of the job. Reporters are expected to shoot, write, & edit stories on both broadcast TV & digital platforms. Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Work in a team environment & independently when shooting stories. - Be curious & aware of news of the day, current events, & trends. - Pitch multiple stories daily & include potential lead stories & other enterprise ideas. - Write stories for on-air. - Write & post stories on KWQC.com & post other content related to your story on social media & CTV/streaming products. - Perform other job-related duties as assigned. - Have the drive to be first. - Apply the feedback given to you by the management team.
