Job Description
NCWLIFE and TheWenatchee World are seeking a Reporter / Multimedia Journalist to joinour award-winning local news team in Wenatchee, Washington.
Craft accurate,engaging stories across television/video, printed publications, digital andsocial platforms in this truly multimedia storytelling role. Work with newsleadership to select, write, fact-check and publish articles. Interact with thepublic in developing story leads and articles based on independent research andnews tips.
What Youll Do
Develop story ideas as assigned or based on leads byconducting research, investigating and observing. Track your stories for follow ups and important futureadvancements on a story.
Produce written and visual assets to enhance the storyacross media. Collaborate with the visual team as appropriate.
Produce stories for digital, television/video and printedpublications using proper grammar and following AP style guidelines while alsoensuring they are compelling and professional in style and presentation. Reworkpieces as requested by news leadership and update pieces as needed for ongoingor developing stories.
Attend station and newspaper sponsored functions andcommunity events.
What You Bring
Experience as a TV on-air news journalist and know how topresent a news story on the air for a day turn, special report, breaking news,etc.
Knowledge andability to write an article/story for digital or print media of a timely newsevent, special report, feature or expanded coverage.
Experience utilizing phone, cameras and mics for video andaudio assets to accompany stories. Demonstrate proficiency with computers,industry software and apps.
Produce accurate and factual stories with a dedication toethics and professionalism.
Experience with social media posting and management.
Bachelors degree in journalism, communications, Englishor related. Relevant experience may be substituted.

Compensation rangesfrom $40,000 - $47,800 depending on skills and experience. Medical, vision,dental, 401K benefits. Candidates must have a dependable vehicle fortransportation , validdrivers license and insurance .
