Develops and implements a comprehensive video and digital media production unit to promote the accomplishments and events of the athletics department and to support revenue generation. Video Content Creation work with Athletics External Relations staff to conceptualize, develop, design and create video content for entire department and all 19 Division I sports teams, including but not limited to program/event promotion, revenue generation, recruiting, etc.

Graphic design work with Athletics External Relations staff to create graphic/branding identity and ensure NCAA/Atlantic 10 compliance
30% Event management works with 1-to-2 assigned sports and helps manage home events including media coverage and event staffing, travel with athletics teams
10% Supervision oversees student worker staff and helps with leadership of graduate assistant 10%

Supplemental Functions:
  • Create and manage video content for the official Athletics Web site (GoBonnies.com), the Reilly Center video board, social media(s) and any other needs as determined by the department.
  • Assist with the generation of other creative content for the department as assigned including but not limited to social media content, Web sites, still photography, infographics, flyers, posters.
  • Oversee the care and maintenance of department video production equipment; forecast and address future needs and trends.

Bachelors Degree; in lieu of degree, appropriate experience will be considered

Experience working with in a sports environment on the collegiate or professional level and/or equivalent experience in a creative, digital environment.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Has advanced knowledge of video production equipment and editing software; Microsoft Office (specifically, Word, Excel and Outlook), InDesign, Photoshop and web design; internet presence and other business operations. Self-motivated to stay current with emerging office technologies and recommend and implement improvements.
  • Ability to express ideas effectively in oral and written form. Ability to type, compose and edit correspondence, memos, letters, agendas and reports; revise schedules, forms, reports, records, and other information; prepare statistical information for use in reports.
