Responsibilities:
- Produce a live local newscast Monday-Friday.
- Influence story development while efficiently collaborating with reporters, anchors, producers across multiple platforms, content center staff, video editors, directors, and newsroom leadership.
- Help lead the charge in driving breaking news urgently and accurately across platforms in a busy market with a high volume of news and rapid change.
- Collaborate to transform traditional TV journalism into formats and deliveries that increase digital video and streaming audiences on ClickOrlando.com , a news website that regularly delivers the largest audience of unique visitors in Central Florida.
- Strong communicator and self-starter who puts the team first, going above and beyond to ensure the team succeeds, and the product is high-quality.
- Coach and mentor others, including producers, trainees and interns.

Key Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a producer in at least two newsrooms and confidence in a live news control room.
- A sharp, conversational style and an ability to leverage process language that showcases journalists at work and the value theyre bringing viewers.
- A strong sense of curiosity and an ability to find information on your own, verify the validity of sources and understand that information so you can communicate it accurately to others.
- Adept at creatively using graphics and video to help showcase anchors and enhance package intros and other stories in the newscast.
- Able to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, managing deadline pressures and frequent changes.
- Fast learning curve when it comes to new technology and skillsets that can stretch beyond the traditional role of news producer (shooting, editing, streaming, planning etc...).
- Can blend good TV journalism with modern innovations in showcasing and distribution of content that maintain brand integrity and dont reduce content quality for the sake of a cheap platform play.
- Willingness to work outside of scheduled hours as breaking news or station efforts require.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency with newsroom and digital content systems.
- A college degree in journalism or broadcasting.
