Video Editor Jobs in Wisconsin

A Video Editor in the broadcasting industry is responsible for assembling raw footage, editing video sequences, and enhancing the output to ensure maximum quality and effectiveness. They are involved in the entire process from storyboard and script, to final product delivery, working closely with the director and production team. Tasks may include cutting video sequences effectively, overseeing the quality and progress of audio and video engineering and editing, experimenting with styles and techniques, and using special effects, music, and sound effects to enhance the final product.

Video Editors should possess strong technical skills for operating editing software such as Adobe Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer and others. They should have a keen eye for detail, a strong artistic vision, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. There is no standard requirement for certification, but training or certifications in video editing software can be beneficial. Prior to becoming a Video Editor, an individual might have roles such as a Production Assistant, Video Production Intern, or Junior Video Editor.
