Carnegie Mellon University's College of Fine Arts is searching for a Video Producer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment.

The Video Producer is responsible for recording classroom lectures and special events on Carnegie Mellon's campus, and conducting any post-production editing of the final video. Assist in the coordination and execution of the setup, operation, and tear down of portable video production equipment used to capture academic courses and special events, and video control rooms on campus. Help to identify and resolve problems relating to video production. Assist technical consultants in relation to the video production needs of clients and assists the Media Services team when needed in audio-visual support scenarios. Assist in the non-linear editing and graphics software to produce a professional- looking product. Help to complete all rendering, compressing, and processing of video files to ensure prompt delivery via department video server and/or DVD/Blu-Ray discs. Regularly updates and maintains video archive.

Your core responsibilities will include:

Responsible for recording events such as class, senate meeting, commencement, and marketing videos for the university.

Produces and edits video adding necessary effects.

Final video may be loaded to DVD or streaming solution.

Transcribe, caption, index and archive final video.

A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

Other duties as assigned.

Associates Degree

Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills

Strong Problem-Solving and Reasoning Skills

0-1 Years of Relevant Work Experience
