Paid Summer Media Intern (writer/producer) Share via: facebook x linkedin email Providence , Rhode Island Hybrid Position Production Coordinator / Project Management Internship 2,000 2,000 stipend SafeBAE Apply to Job We are looking to invite a new member to join our team to lead creative development on a new youth-led educational campaign for SafeBAE. This is primarily a summer position with carry over into the fall. Location: Remote Compensation: $2,000 stipend Expected Workload: Approximately 5 hours/week for 12 weeks (flexible schedule - we're youth-led, we understand student schedules!) This is a minimum with likely carryover into the fall for shooting, edits, etc. Work beyond the summer commitment will be negotiated based on availability and remaining work to be completed. About the Position SafeBAE is seeking an undergraduate or graduate film student, with a specific focus on writing/directing, to lead development and oversight of a creative team of young people to develop the script and vision for a new educational film focused on pornography consumption. With a non-judgmental youth focused lens, the aim of the film is to educate young people about the practical risks of over consumption, harmful messages, and overall impact of their access to porngraphy. SafeBAE has already begun taking applications from high school students interested in joining the creative team, but this position would be to ultimately interview those students and build their team to begin writing the script and envisioning the production of the film. The intern will work closely with SafeBAE's staff to execute the full scope of the project, from concept through production, festival submissions, and educational distribution. SafeBAE's staff, board of directors, and creative partners will offer support and guidance in producing. Responsibilities May Include: Conducting interviews with and potentially more recruitment of the media team for this project. Overseeing script writing Planning weekly meetings with the creative team to ideate, co-write, and generate ideas for the script as well as the production concept. Research existing topic related content in order to avoid duplication Helping to source the full production team, location, casting, and planning the shoot. Working with our team to finalize edits, animation, score, etc. Researching (with staff support) and identifying film festival submission opportunities, or any other ways to promote the release of the film Identifying podcasts, influencers, newsletters, organizations, and media opportunities for distribution support Ideal Candidates: Strong writing skills and experience Prior film experience of any kind A strong connection to our mission to end sexual violence among teens A commitment to youth leadership and collaborative work Organized, proactive, and comfortable with outreach/email communication Familiarity with social media, digital media, and educational campaigns Passionate about helping connect young people with meaningful resources and support To Apply Interested applicants should send the following to ...
