Church Media Producer
Description:
The United Parish in Brooklinea vibrant, fully intergenerational, interdenominational, progressive Protestant congregation in Coolidge Cornerseeks a Media Producer to produce and manage live-streaming of our Sunday morning worship services, coordinate the overall quality of our in-person audio-visual experience, and ensure care and maintenance of our A/V system.
We seek applicants who are self-starters, responsible, work collaboratively, troubleshoot proactively and prioritize the end-user (worshiper) experience.
Pay Rate
$25/hour. Special event opportunities available at $30/hour.
Work Schedule
Part-time (5-8 hours/week). Must be able to work Sundays.
Job Summary
The Media Producer oversees creation and management of visual and audio content to support the United Parish's mission andmunication efforts. This includes livestreaming worship, video production, recruiting and managing volunteers, and ensuring high-quality media for worship services, other events, and online content as needed. The Media Producer works closely with the worship planning team, the Parish Administrator andmunications team, the Building Manager and Head Custodian and other church leaders to align media with the church's vision and values.
Essential Functions
Oversee and produce the worship service livestream feed on YouTube; edit the resulting video feed in a timely manner for redistribution and promotion on social media platforms including, but not limited to, , , etc...
Oversee, troubleshoot and maintain high quality in-person sound throughout the worship service, as well as high-quality visual and audio for the livestream and archived videos.
Communicate clearly and regularly with the worship team and administrative staff about the audio and visual needs for each week's worship service; lead a consistent and efficient soundcheck process for each worship service, and provide weekly reports on both online and in-person worship experiences.
Provide consistentmunication around any necessary troubleshooting and diagnostics or audio-visual improvements; take the lead in resourcing and scheduling any approved equipment maintenance, repair, and/or replacement.
Stay current on the development of new media technologies and systems so that they may be incorporated effectively United Parish's media program
Inventory,anize, and maintain all audio-visual and livestreaming equipment, in order to maintain a safe and clutter-free environment in the worship space.
Recruit and collaborate with members of the Media Advisory Team to ensure continued production quality and maintain progress toward long-range media/production goals.
In collaboration with the Treasurer and church leadership, define, propose, and ad to an annual equipment budget.
Other Responsibilities
Act as Media Producer for non-church events in the building, in collaboration with the Building Manager and Parish Administrator and inmunication with the Senior Pastor.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
3-5 years of experience working with audio/visual equipment, software and livestreaming;experience with worship media production is preferred.
Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
Strong technical skills in audio, video, and lighting systems.
Commitment to the church's mission and vision.
Understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
Fluent in written and spoken English
A successful CORI clearance is a pre-condition to employment.
Must demonstrate proof of vaccination in accordance with policies and procedures established by United Parish.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Work is performed primarily in the interior of the church building, and occasionally outside for certain events.
Must be able to lift and carry audio and visual equipment, unassisted.
Must be able to walk up and down a flight of stairs.
